Quality Skilled Nursing Care and Rehabilitation in Charlotte, North Carolina

The Pavilion Health Center, located on the beautiful campus of Brightmore of South Charlotte, provides a complete continuum of care, including short-term rehabilitation, long-term living, skilled nursing care, outpatient therapy, hospice care, palliative care and respite care.

When you arrive at The Pavilion, you are greeted by a clinical team who develops a person-centered care plan designed to help you regain skills and decrease the chance for readmission back to the hospital. You also have access to medical services that address secondary conditions for a complete treatment plan.

Short-Term Rehabilitation at The Pavilion

At The Pavilion, rehabilitation is all about moving forward following an accident, surgery, stroke or cardiac event. Our highly trained in-house physical, speech and occupational therapists develop an individualized daily plan for you, setting achievable goals to return you to as full a lifestyle as possible after a health event that requires rehabilitation. Therapies are available and provided as needed based on each individual’s plan of care.

  • Physical therapy centers on strengthening your body to improve mobility, balance, coordination and joint movement, as well as the use of any prosthetics, while minimizing pain and discomfort.
  • Occupational therapy focuses on helping you manage day-to-day tasks, such as bathing, personal grooming, dressing, eating and resuming your hobbies and interests.
  • Speech therapy helps improve communication skills, cognitive function and swallowing abilities.

Our 6,000 square feet well-equipped therapy gym includes an Activities of Daily Living Suite to help you work on skills during your occupational therapy sessions. Enhanced therapy services at The Pavilion include diathermy and ultrasound to assist with decreasing pain, electrical stimulation to support improved joint movement and muscle strength and vital stimulation to promote better swallowing. When you are engaged in these enhanced services, you have a more positive experience during your regular therapy sessions.

"The Pavilion became Dad’s home for the last three years, and he thought the world of you all.  You were part of his family.

He was wonderfully cared for, and our hearts are full of gratitude for all the sweet touches of love you gave him.  Thank you for making space for his devotions and for filling empty spaces with song and cheer.  We know that it all was in God’s plan for his life.  We will see the porch from now on and smile picturing Dad sitting out there in the sunshine.

We want to call out names but we don’t want to leave anyone out. So we will just say our hearts are full of gratitude for all of you, residents and staff alike.  We love you. God Bless."
